Our Model

Genesis Venture Fund I, LP (GVI) is a start-up, private equity investment and venture capital fund, organized as a Delaware limited partnership, to provide a vehicle through which individual investors can access venture capital investment opportunities in early stage or emerging growth companies positioned or operating in India. Specifically, our focus is on analyzing and selecting suitable investment opportunities in India's educational sector, with the objective of creating a portfolio of between four and six private companies and taking each public in the United States, by means of a direct public offering.

As part of our risk management strategy, should any one of our portfolio companies, once public, fail to meet certain of our established investment performance criteria we will retain the right to unwind the transaction with such company. Any shares acquired will be put back to the portfolio company and we would receive their residual public shell. We would then use the public shell as a vehicle for an alternative investment opportunity.
